Getting my tax return and I want to perform a mod to the SVT Focus.  Which one should I do?

Adjustable Short Throw Shifter and Urethane Lower Engine Mount
4 (30.8%)
Strut and Shock Tower Braces
0 (0%)
Larger Anti-Roll Bars
9 (69.2%)

After spending a considerable amount of time discussing the pros and cons of each mod and which I'll get the most satisfaction from with CFM (Central Florida Motorsports) who specialize in the SVT Focus, I have decided to do the anti-roll bars.

I agree.  Keep saving for a Bullitt.
I'm keeping this car for a while.  I don't like the Bullitt.  The V6 Mustang looks more aggressive.  If I was to buy a Mustang that isn't a 2005+, it would be the 2003-2004 Mach 1.

I'd just buy the cheapest 05 V8 I could find.

I love the Bullitt!  So understated, so quietly strong...dignified, like the man it's named after and the machine he drove.

I find it even more understated then the Mustang he drove.

Well, I pulled a complete reversal.  I ordered the short throw shifter.  After I factored in the shipping and exchange rate, the anti-roll bars topped $400 which was more then I was allowing for.  So I ordered the shifter and I'm buying a sub.

What happened to the engine mount?

That's my next purchase.  The stock sub in my car is starting to go, so it'll have to wait.

If you are gonna build a really fast car and then drive it that way, always start with the body/frame--of which the engine & transmission mounts are a critical part.  They really can't be too solid.  The only issue is the amount of compromise you're willing to accept for reasons of ride or NVH.  Get Larry Holt of Multimatic on the phone and ask for his recommendation.  Those will be minutes well spent!

there is also a reason why you mag particle check mounting points like that on a real race car after every event....
