I really can't warm up to the Golf VI styling, having now seen a few on the road.  Positive review, though.

I absolutely love the new Golf. But luckily it doesn't look my Golf 5 look too old somehow.

The new GTI is a damn fine car, but I think I'd take a Scirocco instead.

I think what you were trying to say here is "but luckily it doesn't make my Golf 5 look too old, somehow."

If so I can tell you exactly why it doesn't make the Mk. 5 Golf look old: the Mk. 6 and Mk. 5 are the same bloody car!

I wonder how long they'll keep selling the Mk. 4 here. :mask:

I like it!

I want to see a 2 door GTI.

The MKVI one.

Close enough.

Really, aside from the nose job, they're the same.

No way, the MkVI was the result of a ton of cost cutting, that's why VWAG was so eager to pump it out as fast as they did.

Yeah, that was what I was trying to say...  They still sell the Golf 4? Wow, didn't know that. But hey, in South Africa they still sell the Golf 1.

I've just visited vw.ca . My god the Golf 4 looks ugly. All photos look like bad photochops to me. Maybe that's because these lights look so uncommon on a Golf 4. Do people buy this car?

The production cost where lowered in that it takes less steps to build it but the quality of the vehicle itself has improved. The Mk V was a step down from the mk IV in some regards, the mk VI solves that.

Most popular to least popular VWs in Canada this year: Jetta, City Golf, Rabbit, Tiguan, City Jetta, Passat, Routan, New Beetle, GTI (counted as a separate model...), Touareg and Eos.

The facelift is recent, only in the last nine months or so. Before that they looked the same as the original Mk. 4s.

Good god that's horrible. The Mk IV was such a elegant car.

Damm those numbers are horrible without the Jetta they might as well not bother.

The City Jetta also looks quite horrific.

It's not AS bad.

IMO yes it is. It looks like they tried to put a last gen Passat front on the MKIV Jetta.

I mean, I like it, but I'm not counting the days until I can trade my Wolfsburg in for one.  It's a winner because it's basically the same, but the competition is getting better as well, and they need to make sure they don't fall behind.  At this rate, I'll get more excited if they sell the new Polo GTI here.

The US Polo is going to be much, much different from the EU Polo.

Here the 200HP FWD Scirocco 2.0TSI is more expensive then the AWD 250HP 3.2L V6 MkV R32 and Passat V6 FSI Sportline. WTF????

The other way around here - Scirocco cheaper than Golf.
