quite odd hearing russian when the whole thing seems exactly like the original top gear

Russia likes taking an existing product, coping it piece by piece, then claiming it as their own.

They didn't exactly "take" it. Top Gear Russia (both the magazine and the TV show) are produced under licence from the BBC.  Same as with Top Gear Australia and the presumably now aborted US version.
