Your predictions for 2014-15

In 5 years, I predict the top 5 nameplates in sales in North America will be:

1. Toyota/Lexus
2. Ford/Lincoln
3. Hyundai/Kia/Genesis
4. Honda/Acura
5. Nissan/Infiniti

It'll be fun to bump this thread in May of 2014...  :tounge:

I predict the C7 Corvette won't be all-new, but rather a rehashed C6 with less power.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.

I'd stick Ford between Honda and Nissan, but otherwise yeah.

I'd assume they'd be limping along on life support even worse than they are now at that point.  In fact, I'd go as far as to guess that Subaru might actually sell more cars.

My predictions are:

1. Ford Motor Company
2. Hyundai/Kia
3. Toyota/Lexus
4. Honda/Acura
5. GM
6. Nissan/Infiniti
7. Chrysler/Fiat

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

I just read a report last night.  Are you prepared to see Subies with Hybrid Synergy Drive?  They're coming.

How does that work exactly, a shot of wheat grass and bikini wax?

I really don't know.  Short of the H6 motors, all of them share the same external engine dimensions.  If you can make an AWD 2.5 H4 hybrid, then it's possible to make a diesel hybrid (Yes!) and a WRX hybrid.

I think it will run on silk lace and army boots.

I'm guessing that gas will probably reach the $4.00-$5.00 plateu during that time, which would lead me to guess that the Civic/Corolla class cars would be closer in size to the current Nissan Versa, and the Camcords would be closer in size to the old Mazda 6, each without making sacrifices in interior space. Standard 4-bangers would be slightly more efficient without sacrificing power, but the big change would be with the hybrid powertrains; power, fuel efficiency, and most importantly, cost efficiency would all be enhanced, and would begin to displace V6's as the upgraded powerplant.

The Ecoboost V6 Mustang would not only serve as a renaissance of the SVO Mustang, but along with the turbo 4 Gen Coupe (which would get a power upgrade somewhere along the line), lead the way for the future of affordable performance cars. The Nissan Z might even go turbo-4.

They're gonna have to.  Here's to hoping they grow a pair and bring us the turbodiesel too!

Why do you guys see Hyundai so high up?

I don't see them as high up especially when they won't be in existence anymore after NK nukes them.

I think the C7 will be all new.  I agree it will have less power, but I also think it will be much smaller, like solstice/sky sized. The C6 is already a rehashed C5.  The design will be close to 20 years old by 2015.

Seems pretty obvious he's ranking GM brands within GM.

Seems pretty obvious he was being a smartass if you ask me.
