Another reason why our "Street Racing/Stunting" law is f'd

Summary of the law that went into effect last year (could have been earlier) sometime:
You get caught going 50kph over the limit, your car gets impounded for a week as well as your license being suspended, etc.... Same thing can happen basically if the cop feels like it. Even if the ticket is reduced, thrown out, etc.. later, you are still out the cost of the tow and impound fees, which seem to be averaging $1000.

The law violates our charter of rights, but no one seems to care.

As if it wasn't bullshit enough in the first place, we have this:

Are Canadian police subject to civil suits like US police?

"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna

See, the thing is... If this was the U.S., they'd find some way to actually make this COST the taxpayers money rather than making money for the state.
