I'm completely in love with the new 7 but with it costing north of $100,000 (one's on my dealers lot anyway) this one looks very much like it and it's got my heart pounding!  Only thing I dont like about this one is it's a little too much like the 7 but who cares with a 4.4l twin turbo 8 that the dealer says is making 0-60 numbers south of 5 seconds?  And honestly it makes the E-class look like a bunch of 5th graders drew it up.

Wow, it looks really fucking good there!  Like a bigger, grown up 3 series.

It looks great, but it's nothing groundbreaking...thank goodness...

A good looking vehicle from BMW?  It may not be groundbreaking, but it sure as shit is refreshing.

All is right with the world.  The 2011 Mustang GT will weigh just 23 lbs more then the current car with an additional 97 hp.

Cause usually improvements come with significant weight... plus dude is excited about the car

Seems pretty straightforward to me. It will have close to the power of the Camaro SS with about 1000# less weight, and a lower cost. That is just full of win IMO

At a lower cost?  The current price of the Mustang GT is higher than the Camaro SS, isn't it?  The car has significant upgrades and a lower cost?

The weight difference is under 400#, first off.  Second, the base GT undercuts the price of the base Camaro SS by about $2K, but the base GT is absolutely stripped of amenities and there are few factory options (unlike the previous iteration where you could get leather or the Shaker 500 stereo in the base car as options).  Similarly equipped, they're within a few hundred dollars.  The GT Premium with track pack and all the same goodies as a 2SS is likely a little bit more.

I built them on both the US and Canadian sites and comparably equipped, the Camaro was a few hundred more on the US site, and on the Canadian site it was a couple grand more then the Mustang.

Vinsanity

FWIW, the Mustang does give you a better interior.

Jesus, can't we keep the Mustang vs. Camaro bitching contained in the three fucking threads dedicated to it already?

This proves my point: a 620 hp 550i.

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/01/03/2011-bmw-5-series-tuned-by-racing-dynamics/

The M5 is officially a waste of money.
Now now just wait. Maybe they will install a thrilling NA V12 recalling the spirit of the McLaren F1. An interesting proposition, as well as a harkening to the original M5s, as well as a reasonable alternative to whatever a tuner can come up with. Plus they will be able to legitimately charge a price premium over even a top of the line 550i Sport. Win fcking win.

I am pretty sure they will follow in the structure set by the X5/6 M though.

Are they making a new 6 as well?

Thread is spot on for me: I'm selling my '06 MINI b/c I'm bored with it, and there's nothing I want out right now, (that I can justify the investment to the wifey), so I'm going to buy a dirt bike (WR250F) from a buddy and screw around for a year or two till that Toyobaru or whatever you call it, the 2011 'stang and some other cars come out and prove out...
2006 Lexus IS350 - bone stock wouldn't change a thing

the 2010 detroit auto show makes me hunger for the mercedes-benz e-class ragtop and cadillac cts-v coupe. nothing too lofty, really. the buick gs looks sweet, but i cannot see myself owning one. it's the "buick thing", i guess. i look forward to seeing the cadillac xts, but again, not my thing. i simply love those big american cars from yore. something about a massive grille, and from caddy, the "fins" of yesterday. glad to see them (in modern form) on the xts, unlike the sts. the fiat 500 looks much better than pre auto show pics indicated. not my kinda car, but i can now see the appeal.
