I can't say that black is an especially unique color selection.

Unique =/= better. An all-black interior can look outstanding if done properly.

I think if the DLO was a tad larger, it'd look better. It does look a bit awkward.

I'll say it again.  The front and rear look like they come from two different cars, both of which are ugly.

I'd say the Saab needs some higher contrast to spruce up the interior more. Maybe some brushed aluminum surrounding the edges of the center stack/shifter area/instrument panel at the very least. This setup works for a car like the Supra, which used a similar layout, but not a car that's supposed to give a slight hint of luxury.

This interior seems to me like it belongs more in an entry-level premium car (9-3) than a mid-level one (9-5).

If the interior trim on this 9-5 is anything like the current one, the dash trim will have different options, same with door panel, etc. It's likely there will be a wooden dash option for those who want something that looks plusher.

I wonder who is doing the audio system on this car. The Bose system in the 9-3 is terrible, and the standard system is even worse. I think the speakers say Harmon/Kardon but I'm not 100%

I believe you have HKs.  I loved even the stock systems in Bimmers.  They were all good.

In my BMW? It's HK. It's alright, I don't have a huge urge to get a new system, but there's better. Could be worse though, could be bose...
