Best interiors?

What cars have the best interiors in your humble opinions?

I love the previous and current TLs:

Previous A6 was the best in class:

G37 def. gets the most improved (though the whole aluminum look is a lil long in the teeth)

Mazda 6 has sporty intentions but looks much better w/the black center stack

W124 is a bit old, but timeless in elegance and material quality

New Impala surprised me both in and out

I don't really like BMW interiors... they are too cold. Honda/Toyota/Nissan are functionally great but either just boring or at times cheap + ugly (02-06 Altima). Lexus/Infiniti are high quality but not really super appealing visually. Lexus especially... they look like top of the line Toyotas.

What are some of your favorite interiors?

ifcar

That's a Malibu, not Impala.

Of cars introduced lately the Panamera. Especially one with the mahogany wood with inlays of canadian maple and the blue and creme leather.

Like this.

Add a blue exterior paint.

Man, that W124 looks like shit.

Panamera looks great!

Jaguar has some of the best interiors, imo. Even the more budget orientet models have sweet interiors.

I also like the very British interiors in the Rover 75.

Unless there are tactile cues printed on the buttons, I can't see the Panamera's "endless column of buttons" approach to control layout lending itself to easy, eyes-off operation.

Man the Panamera's transmission tunnel is huge... it's more like a wall

I must say, I'm much more of a fan of 'a button for every function' as opposed to 'every function for a button'.

Hehe, I've seen that one before.  Good stuff!

Oh yeah! And that's what's in my dad's garage (with stick and black leather...).

I also love the interior of the last gen. CL and S-class:

Also the new XJ looks awesome.

Audi allways makes a good job.

For shizzle! No pic for the best interior mentioned in the thread? :nono:

Submariner

Seriously...that new XJ is pure sex.

I love the S-class interior...very elegant, very comfortable.

The CL too, is just fantastic inside.

I defy anyone to come up with a coherent, logical argument as to why this isn't awesome.

Very stately, very classy.

Personally I find all those luxury car interiors nauseating to look at.  I mean a good looking interior is great if you are a passenger, but if the interior draws my eye more than the road, then that interior has failed.  Maybe I'm weird like that.  I also like to drive at night with the gauges almost completely dimmed.

I like interiors that are all one color (all black), with few shiny silvery distracting parts, and all the controls are close to the driver.  I also like interiors that feel tight and don't rattle, and don't reflect light in weird ways.

So here is a good example.

But actually I dislike that digital display.

I perfer easy to read gauges like in the Z06

But sadly parts of that interior are too flimsy, the rest fits the bill nicely.

Overall I think the 370Z's interior would be a good candidate.  However there are some shiny bits around the instruments, but I guess it can't be helped.

Yes, and the wood is just wrong in it. I kind of think it's ugly.

Looks like the machinations of a mid level 1970's era NYC pimp.

The Range interior looks needlessly busy as well.

I know I said I don't like BMW interiors, but I do remember being somewhat wowed by the level of opulence in a 745i...

In pics it prob doesn't look like much but on the road it made the ghetto outside seem like a distant movie. After driving these damn Hondas & my mom's semi-POS RX300 I am just happy with a car that has good road noise isolation.

The new XF & XKR also have beautiful interiors as well.

Most of the Japanese interiors are too flashy and the BMW and MB interiors look too busy/complicated. Audi and the Brits know how to do it right.

Japanese interiors do seem a bit busy but they have good geometric themes and materials IMO. I agree that Audi & VW prob have the best interiors in the mainstream business though. Good enough that I would consider owning one over a more fun Nissan or BMW

Raza

"More fun Nissan"...I'll let that go.

Audi, VW, and Alfa Romeo have the best interiors.

I think our slitty-eyed friends try too hard to make their interiors look futuristic.
