In terms of a new vehicle?  Absolutely not.  I'm sure there are other Chrysler products (like the Caliber you mentioned) that are worse, but I haven't driven 'em.  My biggest takeaway was I just simply could not fathom how, in good conscience, someone could spend their hard-earned dollars on such a thing and think it was a remotely good idea.

Based on the number I see on the roads around here, I don't think too many people actually buy them.

They look differently to me, but then again, I am high right now. :D

Seriously, they do not look the same. They have similar styling cues, but then again most car brands have similar styling cues.

Except for the front fascia they look identical.

How? The rear fascias are different. The Liberty looks and is Taller. The wheel arches are different. The similarity ends at the fact they are both boxy Jeeps.

Perhaps the worst new vehicle is indeed a Chrysler and is the Liberty's mechanical twin: the Dodge Nitro, which shares the Liberty's many faults but loses its off-road ability.

In the US, you can get better for the same money. I don't know European pricing, but unless it's literally the cheapest new car available, you can probably do the same in Europe.

You can get better and even cheaper cars here, but aside from that the Caliber is a great deal here if you need a roomy car for little money that is spacious and versatile. Driving dynamics, interior etc. might not be important to the people buying them anyway.

The Dodge Nitro is just so horrible in every way that I kinda want one just to stick in a barn for 50 years because it should become quite the collector's item.

The Nitro is so horrible I think the barn would commit suicide

You can buy hatchbacks here with as much space or more for the same money or less.

What's scary about the Caliber is that, despite EVERYTHING I've read about them, I really really like the looks.
I dunno why!?
