What a lovely stance, and how deliciously chuckable it looks.

According to el-linko it's powered by a Subaru 2.0L flat four powering the rear axle.

Well hello there, aren't you lovely.  2011 you say?  Priced just north of 20,000?  I think I'm in love.

The Pirate

I don't care for how the tail lights form the rear spoiler (particularly from the side view).  Other than that, it looks fantastic, and I would definitely consider buying this car (could likely afford one when it comes out, too).

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

Raza

Wow, that looks really good.  Might actually look better than the Genesis coupe.

Watch them not make it.

Very cool.

Looks like this is going to replace the Scion TC and compete with the 2.0L GenCoupe. I'm hoping for a 6-cyl (or turbocharged) competitor against the 3.8 GenCoupe and 370Z, though

If they could stick the STI motor in there... oh baby.

Move over Genesis Coupe, there's a new sexpot in town.

I never thought I would say that about a Toyota.

Be interested in seeing what the subaru version looks like!

They won't make it because the $225,000 LF-A makes a better business case.

Yes, that was sarcasm...

This makes the Genesis look really, really, old.

Previous rumors indicated that the Toyota version would be JDM only, while the Subaru version would be sold world-wide.  I wonder if that's still the plan?

It'd be just peachy, so long as the Subaru version was this car with the Pleiades on the nose instead. ;)
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

Not sure since this is suppose to be Toyota's resurgence in getting people interested in the brand again and not just have old people want to buy their cars because they feel reliable. I mean have you noticed that Subaru has said nothing? After all it's a Subaru with Toyota styling. It would be utterly pointless for Toyota to sell this thing world wide as a Subaru and not a Toyota, this is Toyota's project after all.

I'm hoping that when they say Toyota will be developing a head for the EJ20 they actually mean Toyota will contract Yamaha to develop a head for the EJ20, since that's what Toyota does when they want great head work.

We will see... I feel like we've been here before.

That said I am loving that low boxer hood. Reminds me of something from the 90s.

First, according to the press release, it's around 10" shorter than the Impreza hatchback at 163". That's a good thing.

Second, EJ207 please. RWD, 260-300 hp. Win.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

This is probably the only Toyota I've liked since the last MR2.

I love everything about it. I want one badly.

Looks fantastic (probably the first Toyota I've said that about in more than 10 years).  How much power is the 2.0L boxer going to have?
