I was going to order her a new one but found this one a little better equipped on eBay. Shuffling paperwork back and forth right now.  :ohyeah:

Not bad.  I've begun to start kind of liking them.  Offbeat, which is cool, but purposely so, which nullifies that a bit.

The Pity Cruiser is for sure. I'm still deciding the fate of the Mustang and 300C. I'll either sell the Mustang and get a sports car (Slightly used Vette/Viper) or sell the Mustang and the 300 and get me something reeaaalllly nice.  ;)

What's the mileage on the Stang?

Coming from the 300C, she'll just have to learn to adjust.

First thing you should definitely do is go to the dealer and get the rear fog light.  It completes the panel of toggle switches, plus increasing your visibility in low visibility conditions.

Man, the fucking rear fog light is useless.

If I was in the position to buy, I would fly out tomorrow.

Cool  :mrcool: Please keep us (me) updated on dealer visits/fixes if you have to make any.  Is that the color/interior combination your wife wanted?  Part of the fun of buying a MINI is speccing it the way you want it and watch your order being built and shipped!

Oh, for looks.

In the A4, the rear fog light is integrated into the rear left taillight, and it makes absolutely no difference, other than thinking there's a blown bulb on the right side.

I guess it's cool to tell people you have a rear fog light.

I was going to order the brown cloth/leather interior but she liked this better when she saw it. This car was about $3K more than what I had spec'd out at sticker price. It's costing me about $3K less. Gotta buy a couple of plane tickets though. We'll just make it a mini vacation to go get it. Probably take a detour through the dragon on the way home. :ohyeah:

The people who drive behind you are so fucking stupid, you want them to have every possible indication that you are there.  When I come to a stop on the highway from speed (almost everyday), I hit my hazards (per the PA drivers' handbook) to indicate that I am stopping in a place where people do not usually stop.

Very, very, VERY nice!  Although Metallic Turd isn't my favourite colour, I love everything else about it!

Congrats!

I drove one almost identical to that one when I worked at the dealership.

Like:
-It's a MINI
-It's turbocharged
-It's a MINI

Dislike:
-The rear window pillars suck
-Mocha, poo brown...same thing.

Conclusion:
-It's a damn cool little-big car, even if it is poo brown.

Cool! Have you driven a Cooper? If so, how do they compare?

We only drove several different versions of the Clubman. The rear seat access and legroom was the main reason for picking the Clubman. I drove it back this weekend and put 830 miles on it on Saturday. It was a better interstate car than I would have thought. Got 33 mpg running 75 mph. :ohyeah:

How does the handling between the Cooper and Clubman compare? I've always wondered if the extra length would take away from the go-kart feel of the Cooper.

I didn't drive the regular Cooper, but I can tell you that the Clubman handles great.  I would guess that there's very little difference between them. I don't think I would want to drive something with more immediate handling than the Clubman. If you sneeze, you change lanes.

I can only imagine it would.  The extra wheelbase would lend it stability, which is the opposite handling.
