I wonder what this does to the HRV, if it even comes.

Payman

Beautiful. Gorgeous interior too.

Eye of the Tiger

I do not believe GM could do this.

Is this based off that Opel Insignia?

Awesome car, can't wait to rent it.

Madman

Wow, that's the first "Buick" I would ever consider owning.  Throw in an Opel Insignia grille and badges and you've got a deal!

Cheers,

I hope we get a Regal "super" a la OPC.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

The turbo model had better come with "T-Type" badges.

You are quite the badge snob.

Lame. Even so, Buick is on a roll. The Enclave is doing great, and aside from the Lacrosse's poor visibility and small trunk, it's a good car to compete with the Lexus/Volvo/Acura crowd.

Why?  Just because I like the look of the Opel grille better?  Would a badge snob ever feature a Daewoo Leganza as SOTW?  (A car you yourself said you "wouldn't touch with a pole.")  Who's the badge snob now?

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

omicron

A nicer front-end (especially in that lovely front 3/4 view) than the upsetting Volvo S60, but I'm not a huge fan of the Insignia. It's professional, I suppose (more professional than a bitsy E-class), and it does have a strong family resemblance to the LaSelf-gratification, but something's not quite right.

Full marks for the interior, mind you, assuming they build it properly.

Xer0

This sounds like it will make a pretty decent Passat competitor, what with both having 2.0 turbos and being European and all.  How does the Insignia do overseas?

Colonel Cadillac

Looks great! Glad to see some Americans at work.

Just wait til you try to sit in the back of it....... the lack of rear headroom is a serious weakness that should surely generate massive complaint. A major blunder by GM Europe, I thought. Interestingly, the latest Astra - in many other ways a very average device which has had some pretty luke warm reviews - does not suffer from the same problem and would probably be more comfortable for those in the back. But it does have a much smaller boot, of course. (and it's not available with anything bigger than what to the US would be deemed too small an engine - he says, at the risk of reigniting that old chestnut of a debate!).

Yeah, exactly.

I've checked out the sedan at an Opel dealer. This is ridiculous. They are about as long as an Audi A6, but I am not lying when I say that my Golf seems to have more interior space than that. I am not a very tall guy, pretty much average, but my head is pretty damn close to the roof.
Besides that also the Opel engines suck. I expect the Americans to get a much more powerful car for 10 grand less. Could be a great deal.

The Insignia wagon is crap, too btw. It's also a huuuuuuge car, but it offers WAY less trunk and interior space than its predecessor.

GM continues its persistent opposition to space-efficiency.
