Nope. Smack dab in the middle of the WS6/SVX and 3000GT Turbo.

Shouldn't have assumed.

When has that stopped someone from buying a coupe? If someone wants 2 doors, they'll buy something with 2 doors.

I wanted to have some sort of cutoff. Otherwise, there'd be a much larger list.

Now that I mention it, a BMW 323i, 325i, or 328i would all fit comfortably into this category. Too bad they weren't exclusively coupes.

So I have another nomination: BMW 318ti M Sport.

I consider the 3er compact an extension of the 3er, so no.

Yeah, but you never specified V6 or V8 Cambirds or Mustangs.  or VR4 vs Base 3000GT, because that one is more out of touch than the Integra with it's higher sticker price.

It doesn't matter. I wanted people to have a choice. This poll would be boring if it was only FWD, 4cyl glorified econoboxes.

Then I want the Rx7!!!!  :rage:  That would fit in there too if the 3000GT was!!

2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

I love those wheels. I used to have them. I say this every time that picture is posted.

You shouldn't tell us what we can and cannot have because there's a sedan variant.  If I want a coupe, then I'll get a coupe.  That's why I posted the C70.  There's a sedan, wagon, and convertible.

RX-7 is a 2 seater.  This poll is for 4 seat coupes.

It's too expensive.

Dude, if that were the case, then this list would be close to I'd say 50 cars. Coupe is a broad term.

MSRP of a 1997 Volvo C70 was $39K.  That's no small chunk of change, even today.  Without looking up MSRP of all the cars in the poll, I'd wager the Volvo prices itself out of contention with most (if not all) of them.  Obviously, it blows the MX-6, 240SX, Celica, Prelude, DSM vehicles, etc. out of the water.  I'd imagine it's possible to get one of the Firebird packages up to $39K, but both the Firebird and the Camaro were available with an LT1/LS1 for less than 30 grand.

I love the C70, but it's in a whole different class, IMO.

Just out of curiosity, of the vehicles on the list, what would you choose?

3000GT, SVX, Prelude were all well over 30K.... I don't understand the choices

Prelude wasn't. Type SH was $25K.

OMG. The 3000GT can reach $65K in 1996!!! What the heck!?

The SVX topped at 36K. Most expensive of the group, but still doable.

The final ones were close very close to 30K... that's why they stopped making them

Base model Prelude was $23K in 1997.  Base 3000GT (I know it's not the fun one) MSRP was $27K in 1997.  Subaru SVX base was $27K.  The latter two cars were probably available for well below MSRP.

I voted for the Thunderbird.  I have fond memories of driving my friend's Tbird on our local fairgrounds 1/2 mile dirt track. Playing with the RWD was fun.  We used to have races pitting the Tbird, a 626, and a Probe.  Then some guy would come out and yell at us.

the Teuton

The only 3000GT that ever reached $65k was the ASC-made limited edition Spyder. It was a full $20k more expensive that the normal VR-4.

That said, the VR-4 was a full $15k more than the SL.

The 3000GT is a bit of a stretch, but it does work.
