A stupid question regarding home window cleaning chemicals...

Can I use them for the inside windshield of a car? I just got back from somewhere and the inside of my windshield was dirty as hell. You don't notice it at all during the day but at night you see every little spec of dust and dirt.

The stuff I have at home to clean my apartment windows lacks a warning about using it on car windows. Does anyone here, however, make use of them for just this purpose?

No tint on the 118i windows. So I basically can use it? Yes or no?

Yes, works fine.  Just go back over it with two rags, one slightly moist with water and another totally dry.  Expect to do some polishing and use some elbow grease to get all the residue off.  The best glass cleaner I've ever used is SprayWay, which is a commercial product.  GM glass cleaner also rocks, as well was Invisible Glass.

DO NOT use 409 to clean car interiors.

They might have gotten better, but when I sprayed it on the kidgunk in my 92 Voyager, it actually melted some of the softer plastic pieces...
