Shaking CR-V

Drove an '05 CR-V last night with a neat problem.

Starting at about 70kph anything above minute acceleration would result in a really bad wheel balance type shake from the front right tire. It would do this up to 90ish or so kph, and then pretty much smooth from there to at least 150kph  :mask:

Steady cruising at any speed was pretty smooth. Accelerating hard from 90ish and up was no drama, only if you did it in that 70-90kph window did it shake.

Apparently the owner of this CR-V has had it to the dealer and they "didn't know what it was".

Now the right side tires both look like they've rubbed a curb or two. Neither looks like they hit anything all that hard though.

I didn't have a chance to lift it and play with the wheel but I'm thinking lower control arm problem, either worn bushing or ball joint, probably bushing as at no point were there any heavy sounding noises.

Its going in again on Monday, but till then its guessing game time.

Does it also shake when decelerating (engine braking, specifically)?

I did coast down in speed at one point, but didnt think to put it in a lower gear to see if it did it on engine braking.

I'd guess wheel balance and/or alignment.

I had some issues in October with my Subaru shaking everytime I pushed on the gas- but it also shook under hard braking, and it was at ALL speeds, but NOT when I had it in neutral, coasted, or revved.

That problem was the axle.
