Check out their all new car, the Shuanghuan CEO.  I wonder how many companies we could come up with that were ripped off from.  The interior is a blatant BMW steering wheel, with a Lexus GX470 center stack.  Side profile and back are blatant copies of an X5.  The front is perhaps RAV4, or something else.

Absolutely despicable.

GX470/ Sorento headlights, tacoma interior, X5 back... These guys shoudl be murdered.

BMWDave

The center stack is Lexus GX without the Nav.

Steering wheel is clearly BMW.

I know they don't have the same laws as us, but doing an honest business is just the fair thing to do. That evidently doesn't matter to them, but it'll manage to piss off all the non-chinese car enthusiasts out there.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

I don't know why you're saying X5 for the first one. It's clearly an X3, especially in the windowline and taillights.

It takes a lot of skill to choose what styling to copy, what interior to copy, and how to incoporate them all you know!

Its a different culture, in Chinese culture its alright to steal, theyre not based in Christian values and dont consider stealing a bad thing. Its all about using people to gain an advantage and if stealing is the way then theyll do it. Its not wrong, just the way business is done.

Dude, Christian values have nothing to do with it. Plagiarism of intellectual property is a peculiarly Chinese trait (somehow most other non-Christian countries seem to avoid it). The Chinese have been doing it for a long time, too: I read a passage from a Portugese clergyman in the 1700s who commented that the Chinese were quite good at producing facsimiles of foreign products that were indistuingishable from the real thing.

The Chinese car companies obviously know how to manufacture cars now, at least ones that look like their German- or American counterparts. They could avoid all this critical flack if they just went and hired Italdesign to make them their own original looks.

It's pronounced "schwahng hwahn".
