$5,000 reward for a copy of NBC's Top Gear

Jalopnik is offering $5,000 to anyone (presumably working for NBC) who can provide them with a copy of the unaired pilot for the American remake of Top Gear.

I wonder if anyone has seen the unaired Top Gear pilot Discovery Channel made several years earlier?  It would be interesting to compare the two abandoned attempts at a US remake with the BBC original!

Most Americans don't get British humor. Filter that down a little to people who like cars that may or may not be sold here. Then filter that down to people who enjoy mainstream British pop culture....

See where I'm going? The folk singer they had on their show a few episodes was an American, but he's only famous in the UK (really famous). We'd all be saying "Who the heck is he?"

Agreed - they would do better to edit out the "celebrity" guest segments.; it's tiring to skip through them on my DVR. But they did have Michael Schumacher on the other day - I watched that.

I actually enjoy British humor more than some of the lame "American" humor I hear on tv.

I watch if the guest is either funny or hot.  So I'll watch Jimmy Carr's interview.  I'll also watch Sienna Miller's.
