ANOTHER DIY paint question

I got into a snow related fender bender during the first storm and I need a new front right fender. Getting it painted from a shop would cost more than I want to spend. I tried to paint a bumper about 3 cars ago and that came out pretty badly... any advice on how to rattle can this? I can get some OEM paint and primer and go from there.

The paint on my car now is ok but not great. I would be down to do some prepwork.
