Geely has purchased LTI, and they've modernized and plan on introducing a modern version called the Txn.

I am sure the cabbies of London are salivating at the mere thought of driving one of those every day...........

I think they did a good job for modernizing an essentially an old (looking) design.

I'm sorry, I didn't catch the name; your keyboard sneezed.

Looks like a lower seating capacity than the current London taxis, which seat 5+.  Doubt it'll catch on.

From what I gather, this model is supposed to be more luxurious inside. The TX4 will still be produced.

Then it's pointless really.  The normal taxis are hardly cheap, but anyone who wants a more luxurious taxi will hire an S-Class (London equivalent of the Town Car you have in NYC).

Oh ho ho! It looks like a Bentley Mulsanne after the accident.

This car is a fail.  It's all good though, because it doesn't meet the access requirements for London taxis so it can't be used as a hackney carriage anyway!

My guess is that this'll be popular in China with cabbies who want to look like they have a London taxi.

It will slot under the TX4, it's significantly smaller. It should be easier where maneuverability and space concerns are prevalent in large Chinese cities.

So why did the Brits let the Chinese buy out one of their transportation staples so easily?
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.
