Can't go wrong with Koni man. Kinda funny though, you weren't this open to the aftermarket in that Mugen vs HFP Civic Si discussion :P

I think you missed his point about the Mugen CSi.  It wasn't about "factory > aftermarket", it was "special edition > regular model + aftermarket parts".
Needs more Jiggawatts

But here, his Jetta 2.0T will be better than a GLI with some aftermarket parts.... plus the Mugen CSi literally is the regular one with the HFP suspension. W/e I won't open up that can of worms again, just thought it was funny.

Rumor has it that this model will start at $15k -- or $2.5k cheaper than the current model.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

It's going to be crap.

When the mags praise it for being wonderful when the Euro Focus will almost be the same thing as the US model, whereas this will be a cheapened version of the Jetta platform, will you renounce liking the crap they spew, if ever you haven't already?

Oh. Yeah.

MK3's rule, and so do most VW's. Sure the 2.5L Sucks (in the new car), and they are a tad overpriced, but they're still nice vehicles. I mean, up until now no VW had to be "simplified" for the US market.

the Teuton

True. But even with Mexican manufacturing, German sourcing still seems to be too expensive for them to keep making cars for us here. And the Passat just became retardedly expensive for what became an undersized car for the market.

Meh... the B5 Passat is a damn good car size and performance-wise. This new crop of "midsizers" is too big, and VW was stupid to follow suit.

2o6

I don't think they're too big at all.
