I'm preparing a massive amount of photos for a shitload of picture threads right now - all spotted today. A lot of the images are blurry because I forgot to set my lens on VR after a night photoshoot from the previous day. Stupid me.  :banghead:

Amongst these pictures, I have selected these classic American cars for this thread. Isn't it sad? Germans driving around in these beauties?

1920s or 1930s Chrysler - notice the cute girl in it...

Wow, friggin hot! This is style! This is class!

Not as cool as the ^above^ Caddy, but still cool!  :mrcool:

Love the color on this baby! So hot.

More American and other exotics coming up in a few hours when I am done preparing the pics!

They're big, floaty, depreciating boats.  I've detailed a couple of that first DeVille's vintage.  My lord.

Damn, you don't sound at all impressed with these cars.

You need to understand my viewpoint. These are exotics here because of their rarity and their styling is so "typical 1980s American" I'll call it, which I like, thank Hollywood movies for that!  :praise:

For it's time it was acceptable in terms of driving dynamics. However, in general luxury cars don't hold their value, no matter what it is.

It really depends.  If the car has changed owners 3 or more times it has more than likely had a pretty rough life.  If you find one of these cars that was owned by some old couple since it was new then you got a pretty good car.

That's usually the best way to go.  :ohyeah:

Now I need to go find myself a Plymouth Volare that was owned by a relaxed couple.  :tounge:

It's just like a Mercedes.
WOW. Just WOW. My mom had one of those POS. It ain't no Mercedes.

Mustangfan2003

Owning a Mercedes from the same time period I agree.  My Benz has aged a lot better than most Granadas I've seen.

I think so.  I remember a few months ago a dealer near by had a Versailles that was actually in good conditions on craigslist.  I think they wanted $5k for it.

Exotic, hardly.  I would say it's better than the Cimarron though.

Did Ford make any commercials comparing the Probe to a Diablo? Look! They both have popup headlights, and the Ford costs 90% less!

Yeah, that'll stave off any rust issues.

Volare's were crap the day they rolled out of the factory.

Let's put that aside for a second.

And let's look at it this way: they were damn fine-looking.  :mrcool:
