Which one would you prefer? The R8's basic floorplan and platform come from the Gallardo, and the 5.2L in the R8 has roots in the Gallardo, and both have AWD and are VAG products.

Onslaught

I like the R8 and live next to an Audi dealer so that be a plus. But I hate the silver crap behind the door. So Lambo.

You know you can have that painted at the dealer before you take delivery, right? Or, just buy one in black:

R8 is too damn wide + heavy (weighs more than an M3!!!!!!!!)

Garrardo looks like a flying saucer on the road in a bad way, but it is lighter + has a smaller footprint + comes with that great V10. I no scare of Lambo fire. Garrardo pls

Gallardo and R8 V10 are within ~70lbs of each other.

R8 is only an inch wider.

My research showed a difference closer to 300lbs

And the R8 just look massive where the Gallardo doesn't

Lamborghini and Ferrari usually quote dry-weight numbers.

......which means that the Gallardo and R8 V10 would be nearly identical in terms of weight.

sportyaccordy

W/e. R8 is a visual boat compared to the Gallardo. Gallardo it is

BimmerM3

R8 is pure sex and this might be completely incorrect, but I get the feeling that it would handle real roads better than the Gallardo.

Laconian

I think the R8's sophisticated technical presence would suit me better than the over the top flamboyance of the Gallardo.

So sexy. And I'm not a Gallardo fan. Seems like the Lambo you get when you can't afford a Murcielago.

I'll never own another black car again.
I don't want some body shop painting on my brand new car.

R8 V10 thank you.  That is my current dream car.  It's the first car I would buy if I won the lottery.

Gallardo all the way.

Give me the 4.2 R8 over all of them, imo.

MX793

I like the looks of the Lambo a bit better (and Lambos are generally more exotic than Audis, so there's some appeal there), but I wouldn't hesitate to march down to the Audi dealer and write out a check for an R8 if I won the lottery.  In fact, I likely would (since there's not Lambo or Ferrari or Aston dealership remotely nearby).

yeah, 'cause having a top Audi dealer make the two silver panels body color would just ruin the car and make it fall apart in a week, right after the paint they applied falls off.

So, 3000 then.

More like 3200.

200 for the driver, 100 for fluids (not sure how accurate that is, but close enough)

R8 does not include Driver.

Curb Weight is with fluids added. Driver is irrelevant.
