"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna

Wow.  That would be my #2 Lottery Car.  I can't believe it's only a million bucks.

Much better idea than 'Build Your Motor For $6K'

Good stuff

sweet.

Am I off in thinking 650hp is kinda low for an F1 car??  I realize the car weighs next to nothing, but I woulda thunk the engines put more power down...

No doubt they are red-lined at 10,300rpm for the sake of longevity.

Current F1 engines are red-lined at 18,000 and speculated to make in the neighborhood of 800hp

Anyone save for a pro driver would not be able to handle a full F1 car. Even 650 hp and 10.3k rpm is quite a lot in this type of car.

Well, I guess Lotus will be ready for homoglation F1!

It's also how they get the 2800 mile tera-down schedule.  Otherwise, it would be a tear-down after every race.

Very few people in the world would be able to handle a F1 car. I'm gonna guess it's in the 4 digits if that.

650 HP is a lot to handle in a street car - it has to be nuts in something less than half the weight of your average street car...

Also, I'd imagine they cut down on power to preserve the engine.

Im not going to lie, I would do everything in my power to make it street worthy if I could afford it - something about an F1 car on the road is just hilariously awesome.

Oh I'm sure these puppies will take a lot of control and practice to race very hard/fast.  Amateur racing like this (where the OWNER is in the car) could be very exciting. They should sell tickets to watch.
