Yes, well, it may already be too late for that... La Nina is a bitch.

But likely end of Sept/start of Oct.

Sweet ride. It looks to be in pretty good shape too. Is that true, or are you just playing tricks with the camera?

It's in good shape.

There are a couple of paint blemishes, a few interior problems, and some mechanical stuff (mostly very minor), but it's nothing you wouldn't expect on an old car.

So now you have British electrics, an exploding pile of tyres, and a rejected Volkswagen. That sounds fun.

Great purchase! I've always wanted a Porsche. I'm feeling a bit of envy here..

A good friend will come bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, DAMN...that was fun!

I've been real tempted by the price of clean turbo 944's lately. Its a whole lot of car for 8K(typical clean, well maintained and around 80K).

I loved my old N/A 83 944, absolutely love the wide flare totally 80's style. I'll certainly own one again(maybe real soon).

Enjoy your porsche.

It depends, a standard 944 is all that is eligable for porsche cup racing.

I've thought of getting a N/A just because it is a very cheap and great way to enter a racing series.

Less maintenance money$ later.

One area where the 944 has a biiiig advantage over any Miata, MG, etc, is in front seat leg room. I could never drive the Miata for more than a couple of hours at a time, because my legs would get sore. In this car, I have about as much room to move my legs, albeit with a lower seat, as I have in the Explorer. This car is road trip ready, and an ideal GT.

My brother has one (currently in storage, I think) and I remember him remarking about how it would make a good road trip vehicle. According to him, it has some insanely long range per tank of gas too.

Apparently it's got a 21 gallon tank

The explorer had a 22.5 gallon tank, except with the fuel mileage it got, it didn't go that far
