IMO it's pretty easy to back up, I find myself overestimating the trunk size by at least two feet.

I agree, I just can't see any cross traffic when backing out of parking spaces with the top up, mainly if there's a car parked next to me blocking the view out of the side window

My club trim doesn't have that. Or heated seats, or auto headlights, or anything. But it does have Bilsteins, Brembos, and BBS wheels.

I think the RF looks stubby.

In pictures it does seem that way.  In person, it's actually a very well proportioned car.

Well proportioned, but tiny!
So small! Carmax had trouble finding it on the lot - it was hiding behind a Mustang.

I do have the occasional panicked moments of "oh crap, where did I park?!"

Lol.

Top up in the NB backing out sucks really bad too. Can't see the entire area you're backing into.

I got the Fab9 N1 tune loaded in the car. Rev limiter increased to 7250 instead of like 6800 stock limiter. And it accelerates all the way to the limiter, no dead spots or drop offs. The 1-2 shift is smoother now, I think the stock tune has a bit of a rev hang that is eliminated in this tune. MPG might be slightly worse, I assume the stock tune runs very lean and this runs a bit richer for more power. Haven't noticed a huge increase in power or acceleration but it's supposed to be a small bump (5-10 hp probably). I'm on the 91 octane tune not 93.

Worse mileage with no noticeable increase in power.  Doesn't seem like it was worth it.

Should be a decent improvement for autocross

Less shifting.
Increase rev limit to 9000. Win.

Then it's all good.  Do you take it up to the rev limit?

Yes I was bouncing off the rev limiter too much last season. Cost me a few tenths each run

The return of pre-pandemic traffic levels has not done good things for Miata enjoyment.

I added some stiffer springs (300 lb front, 200 lb rear, 1/2" lower, not very noticeable drop) and a beefier shock tower brace that is a lot stiffer than the stock Club brace.

Much flatter handling and the brace keeps the NVH in line.

I really liked the pandemic lock down traffic. I miss it terribly.

I'll try that on my Jeep.

Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

The shock tower brace will be challenging.

And it won't really do much of anything.

Watts linkage- front and rear!

Not quite sure what that would accomplish, but yeah, great idea.

Get that racing grade concrete though.
