Best Tweeters?

I have a tweeter in my Passat that's blown out... Anyone ever replace theirs? What's the best model to get? I went to Best Buy and they had only one set of Sony models and they looked good, but who knows. Crutchfield reviews seem to place a $44 set of Pioneers at the top of the list. Prices for these things seem odd - they're either $50, $100 or like $400.

Anywho, any advice is appreciated!

For replacing a stock tweeter, you'd probably be more than satisfied with the sound quality of any inexpensive, name-brand tweeter such as the Pioneers you mentioned.  Ensuring that they'll fit is something you need to do, of course, and you should replace the pair of 'em and not just the one to keep the sound consistent.

I have Infinity Kappa component speakers in my car and I like them a lot. I'm not sure if you can get just the tweeters though since I bought the doors and tweeters together.

Depends on how much you wanna spend. All my vehicles have all Pioneer components. Since you're running them through you factory head unit (I assume) the Pioneers should be just fine.

I had Rockford Fosgates in my Escort long ago, and they gave really good sound.

Some Brands offer replacements that are made to be a direct fit.

I replaced my stock speakers on the Laguna (which were crap) with Pioneers that fit 100%
Installing four new speakers took less than 20 minutes.
