Ignore the color... picture a nice silver or white. Along with the Boxster R, this is the closest thing to perfection you can get, and I think I covet this car above all others.

I love the color.

I also like it, but it wouldn't personally choose it.

While I love this thing, I don't know if I'd have it over a Boxster Spyder. I LOVE, love, love that thing.

That's just a Boxster with a useless tent for a roof.

The convertible roof design kills it for me, plus I tend to prefer solid roofs.

It's the same idea as this car, except it's a roadster. I love roadsters (I'm not a huge fan of 4-seat 'verts, however), having been in an NSX driven spiritedly with the targa top off, it's an awesome, awesome feeling.

You can still get a regular convertible Boxster though. It's a wee bit slower, but still quick.

The Cayman S is far and away my favourite Porsche, and the R is the S but better, so I guess the R is now my favourite.  I just don't like the "PORSCHE" stripe down the rocker panel.  I know it's "traditional", but I still don't like it.

sportyaccordy

When is Porsche gonna stop pussyfooting around and give this car the 3.8L it deserves?

I'm pretty sure it's a delete option, but I love it.

The current engine is perfect for the car, IMO. And Porsche isn't going to do anything that might hurt 911 sales... like putting the 911 engine in a mid-engine car.

68_427

Take it to Sharkwerks.  Guarantee they'll do a 3.8 or even 3.9 swap.  (3.9 = 500hp & 8500rpm+)

As much as I love this car, the 911 Turbo S will always be the Porsche for me.

A turbo/intercooler would be nice, bringing power to 400-450 hp.

We get it Wimmer. North Americans have no concept of performance cars, and think horsepower and 0-60 times are all that matter.
