The Cleveland heads can be fitted on a Windsor short block, as they did with the Boss 302 engine; along with other performance and strengthening features.  That the Aussies initially had the Cleveland engine perhaps they kept the Cleveland heads, or facsimile, when they switched over to the Windsor block.

When I was growing up, my folks had these (not the actual cars, just examples):

 





learned to drive on the 4CV. Later, when I was getting ready to get my license, they had swapped the Falcon wagon for a Pinto Squire wagon, like this only olive green metallic:




Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...
