I'm sure it's actually a control measure.  Now NASCAR can issue teams identical fuel injection control modules.

Couldn't this eliminate restrictor plates also?

I guess, unless they did some sort of old style GM TBI set up.

They should just use DEI

The face stabbing one reminds me of an argument I got into with some moron at the old C&D forums who seemed to think he knew how turbocharging worked, was horribly wrong on all counts and when it was pointed out by not one, but about half a dozen people, refused to admit he was wrong and just called everyone idiots and then tried to twist his own words around to make himself look right.

DEI was a great moment in automotive internet history. The perfect mix of superficial automotive knowledge and "creative thinking", distilled down to a perfect all encompassing hastily drawn scribble. "You can't make this stuff up"... or can you?  :winkguy:

Well caught the end of the Bud Shootout tonight and I must say that's a pretty good finish.

I don't like how long they can stay in those two car packs.  If they could only do it for around 3 laps it would keep the pack tighter together.

Zomg, what's next in the technological showcase - a pit speed rev limited or perhaps something as novel as an o2 sensor?

The thing that is kinda funny about this is some of the fuel injected Bel Airs were raced in Nascar in the 50s.
