What's the best case fuel economy for your car if you drive in a sane manner?

I can do 32 on the highway pretty easily with liberal use of cruise control.

TSX can do 43.

Best case is around 27mpg with cruise control set to 75.

Meh aero, awd, and a generally fuel-hungry engine all net poor econ.

I can't say I've tried.  My best tank was something like 26.5, I think.

I was looking at what it would cost in fuel to drive to my grandma in Idaho (she's not doing real well, apparently) and it's about $220 round trip for gas alone.

That's roughly three fill-ups for me. Every time I gas up I hand over 70-80 Euros.

11 gallons according to Google are roughly 42 liters. That's a very small fuel tank!

A lot of Japanese cars have nominally 50 liter tanks, it seems; Althought their actually capacities seem to vary. Bothe the Civic's and the S2000's tanks were listed as 50 liters; but I consistently could get  more gas in the Civic than that.

I swear the evo has a 9 or 10 gallon tank in it. Only takes about 35 bucks to fill with premium.

The more the merrier. I would think that a bigger tank is essential for a car like the BRZ, which most people probably won't drive in an economical manner anyway!

Yes, I remember this from my time in the Philippines. All our Japanese cars basically had a 50 liter fuel tank, except for our SUV, which had a 92 liter diesel fuel tank.

I think I'm right around 14 gallons.  My regular fill up is 10-11.  That reminds me, I really fell off using Fuelly.

Supposedly it's 13.2 gallons.  Mustang has a 16 gallon tank and the Mazda has a 14.5.  I usually fill up when the fuel gauge reads ~1/4 tank left, which typically takes ~11 gallons in the Mustang and 9-10 in the Mazda.

I never go over 100 mph, mainly because it's virtually impossible with the level of traffic around here.  Out west, it would be a different story.

On an open road, probably.  But there are lots of obstacles here.
