Mainstream? I think the interior is befitting a luxury car.

I have no clue how I missed this when it first broke.

That interior is beautiful.

I dunno, that interior looks on par with most Audi and BMW products, and easily schools Cadillac and Lexus.

Are you talking about the black and orange Citroen Jeremy drove in Northern Italy?  That's a DS3, a completely different model.

The DS5 is pure sex on wheels!  Sadly, we'll never see it here because Americans only buy boring cars.

It definitely looks good, but the metal on the side is a bit too high.

To be fair, it's really just a compact MPV with some luxury touches.

Interior sucks ass.

You're Canadian, so your opinion doesn't count anyway.

That said, I love the watchband seat covers. Only the French could pull that off.

I will, have to drive it first. Ive always had a soft spot for the Citro?n. Currently I'm driving the C3 Picasso, which I really like. I think I'll try to get my mom to buy one. It would be a perfect vehicle for her.

Well, if anyone cares, the interiors on the newer Citroens are quite good. They are making the best interiors in terms of design (subjective) and materials (also subjective) over Renault and Peugeot - in my opinion.

Citroen...what a super cool awesome brand. So many great names come to mind. The legendary 5CV, Traction Avant, DS, SM, CX, BX, AX, GS, Visa, Saxo, Xsara, 2CV, 2CV Safari, Xantia, XM, Dyane, Ami 6 and 8, Mehari, H-Van...not sure if anyone here knows about the Citroen M35.  :praise:

Well, they have the regular C5 and C4 Picasso if you feel the DS5 is too high-class.

I think PSA should come back to the USA. I think they would have good success in the USA, since their cars seem to offer style and substance at an upscale, but not ungodly high price. Price it similar to Honda or Buick, and with that product line, you'd have people lining up on looks alone.

sportyaccordy

PSA would have to dealer bomb the country. The weak network was one of the many daggers that killed their first attempt.

Personally I like this but I would rather Renault come back. Renaultsport Megane

Morris Minor

Do PSA & Renault make reliable cars?  I'd gathered that they are not terribly well screwed together.

Good idea.

With their nice styling compared to the extremely bland Japanese stuff, they can appeal to buyers who place emphasis on fun and individuality.

I'm seriously considering getting rid of my sisters BMW 118i (it's virtually my car now) and looking at a Citroen C4. It's the perfect car for me. Great styling, comfortable and spacious inside, efficient diesel engines (next car needs to be diesel since I do drive a lot and the 118i isn't that efficient), large trunk and once again GREAT STYLING. And FWD! Finally a car in the Wimmer family that handles nicely in the winter.  :tounge:

Quality wise their cars are excellent. They've really managed to improve in that regard from the horrible stuff they produced in the late '80s and throughout the '90s. Reliability wise they're not bad either. Most complaints range from a few electrical gremlins to poor dealership service. Some cars from PSA bring down the brands as a whole. In these case of Renault and Citroen the Kangoo/Berlingo (same car, different badge) was rated as extremely poorly made and unreliable - the first generation that is. The newer models seem to be much better.

The Renault-Mitsubishi-Dacia dealership in M?hldorf where my folks live is pretty good though. Very friendly people inside that let me admire that gorgeous classic

Still not as good as the glory days (DS, CX, SM), but recent models are a big leap from the ordinary designs of the last 20 or so years.  Now, if they would just cover those rear wheels, even a bit....now that would be awesome and would make them stand out even more!

The styling of the French brands took a turn for bland in the 1990s, but I still thought that Citroen had at least "interesting bland styles".

Cars like the XM, Xsara and Xantia looked pretty good compared to boring European and Japanese rivals of the time.
