Everyone's least favourite fat Cockney shed-peddler is back!  This time, he's invading America and he's looking for old heaps for his long-suffering nine-foot-tall mechanic Edd to restore to their former glory.  First up is a rather tasty-looking 1970 Dodge Charger!

I shouldn't, I know, but I just love that show. It's so nice to see Mike getting weeks of free labor & free sweat equity out of Edd, so Mike can flog on his cars for a couple of hundred quid profit, if that.

If Edd had paid attention in his history classes, he'd know that slavery was abolished in Britain in 1833.

One of the coolest and best looking cars ever built. A perfect introduction to Americana.

And like most all their projects they talk up the issues too much. That car had essentially no issues; most notably, no rust.

Also, when to use quid vs. pound?

I've caught a few of these episodes - Ferrari 308 GT4, Porsche 944 and diesel Discovery. Sure seems like they let these cars go cheap though. But I like the show although plainly dramatized.

I just watched the Saab 900 Turbo episode. Interesting. That heap had 185K on the clock. They were pretty damned excited about it, though.  :huh:

They've saved the best for last: a 1957 Chevrolet 210 sedan (wearing Bel Air trim) with a 283 and a three speed.  Meanwhile, Mike gets a lesson on how dangerous old carburettors can be!  Too bad Edd decided to spray it taxi cab yellow.  It would have looked gorgeous in black.  I can't say I'm a fan blinged-out wheels, either.
