Your perfect car

If you could combine the best traits of several cars to create your own, what would they be?

Eg: Miata size and weight, Honda S2000 engine and transmission, Lotus Elise handling, and Porsche Cayman styling.

For me, the perfect car is simply an LS3 powered CTS sedan or wagon or an Infiniti G56 (5.6L V8), but I think this combination would be very interesting as well:

- Chassis and suspension from the Infiniti G37 sedan
- Ford 5.0L V8 and 6 speed manual transmission
- Kia Optima styling
- Cadillac CTS-V interior

Somehow combine the Miata with the looks of the Mustang (convertible with a fastback roof? WTF!) with Mustang engine sounds.
I have no idea how to make it work, but I'd be a happy dude.

There are tons Mustang powered Miatas out there, but they still look like Miatas.  Too bad too, because I have always thought that V8 Miatas would have been perfect as a new Shelby Cobra.  Unfortunately it would be saddled with the Miata's body.

I think there are a lot of "perfect" cars, e.g. 944S2, S2000, older 535i, etc. I wouldn't combine traits.

Nobody makes my perfect car.  My perfect cars are just an engine option away (CTS, Infiniti G) or 10" and 800 lbs (Charger) from being perfect.  :(

I value style, interior space, comfort and fuel economy. So my choices are...

Oldschool: Mercedes S123 T-Modell 230TE

Newschool: Citroen C5 Tourer 165 HDi

Wimmer, you missed the point of the thread.  You must combine the traits are multiple cars to create one perfect car.

There are plenty of great cars out there.

911 turbo
M3 sedan (or 335i)
C6 coupe or z06

And probably a dozen others I wouldn't change anything about.

Ah, got it.

Citroen C5 Tourer body + oh, let's throw in a Mercedes 2.1-l 4-cylinder turbodiesel in the form of a '220 CDI = perfect car.  :ohyeah:

Let's throw a new 5.0 into my car, as well as a 6-speed manual.  Fix all of the dents, get new body-color bumpers, glass moonroof from a 960, Lexicon 17-speaker sound system from the Genesis/Equus, charcoal interior from another 940, and all of the brakes upgraded and repaired.  Also, lots of sound deadening material.  This will be one quiet car that also hauls ass and sounds good.

565

Formula 1 car with a minivan body.

Oh wait

Except I'd want a totally stock looking minivan body for the sleeper effect.  And with all the seats too so I can actually carry people and stuff.  And probably the AWD 3.8 turbo drivetrain from the GT-R for more reliability and usability.

Renesis powered Miata.

Oh, I've looked into that one. If it wouldn't cost so fucking much I'd do it. That and a few of the things are over my head on how to make it work.

Actually, Factory Five is about to produce my perfect car, the 818. An 1800 lb roadster and targa with mid mounted WRX powertrain. The kit is coming out later this year for $9900.

I think that would've worked out well. The RX-8 is more of a GT car anyway so that motor would've been a good fit. Oh well.

Yea that would have been interesting. I don't think gas mileage would have been much worse either.
