Give me some time, I'll find one for less than $6000.

<$2000, running, highway worthy, able to tow.

Hmmm.

Nope, can't do that.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

That's why I'm looking at F-150's, Dakotas, and Chebbys.

That sounds adequate.

Adequacy is un-American.

And you guys are no help. Nobody likes the 460 Ford? That thing is a torque monster.... and a gas hog, but w/e.
I'm still leaning V6 Dakota.

I had a 5.2 Dakota for a year. I also had driven around the 3.9 for a week. I didn't find the mileage different between the two very much at all. You may as well get the 5.2 litre. Both were mechanically sound at the time.

This is good info. I know the V6 gets horrible mileage because I used to drive one for work. It had over 300,000 miles on the original motor. The V8, of course, has 50 more horsepowers, and still gets horrible mileage. I suppose I could go with either one. I'm not sure the V8 was available with a manual trans, though.

My "Little" 5 liter was hell on gas! It would suck both tanks dry in 350 freeway miles!

Today I saw an F-something or other with 460 badges on the fender. It sounded like steak should. You ought to buy one.

IIRC, most 460 equipped F-series trucks had the dual fuel tanks with some ridiculous amount of capacity.

Doesn't help your wallet any, but it did have the range.

The fuel still goes in, it just blows straight out the tailpipe instead of getting burned and generating power.
