That is a good suggestion, always lusted for one since I was a wee lad and saw it on Get Smart.

Sort of a poor man's cobra.

I had one for a couple of years a long time ago.  I could kick myself for letting it go.

I see very few 944s.
For some reason there seem to be quite a few in Michigan.  I probably see a couple every week or two.

From what I know, they are fairly reliable, have no real faults and are generally fun to drive.

BMW 850 CSi V12 6 speed, FTW:

Little known fact, the 850 CSI is registered as an M8 in the german car registration papers.

That would suggest that BMW did consider calling  it that, only to change the official name at the last minute. There is also a "real" M8 prototype somewhere in a BMW warehouse.

There is an E34 M5 available here for 30K. It is one of only 139 built that year (last one of the E34). 38K miles.

I?d get it if I had the means, not for the time being. If anyone is interested I am pretty sure it can be imported to the U.S. It is from a club member.

That has suicidal nightmare written all over it.

If by suicidal nightmare you mean fucking cool.
