Same van, not my picture. 7.3 Diesel. A $90 fill up would be a wet dream for me though.

Diesel would be sweet. You can crank up the fuel and get another 300 horsepower out of it, or something ridiculous.
The 4.2 V6 will have to do. 200-ish HP and 250-ish torks with a 3.73 rear end and I think the 4R70W transmission. I think it's rated to tow 5,200, or 7,500 lbs... one of those.

That's what I was leaning towards. Then I can smash into other cars, and not leave any evidence behind. Herculiner is polyurethane and won't rub off.
