Come now, would Bristol really come up with something looking like that?

That means "no".

No, no connection to a TR7/8......... I did say it's not a Triumph.

Rupert

*ahem* So you did, so you did.  :tounge:

TVR?

I'm grasping at straws. Sure looks British.

Is this perhaps the Colin 5000? The car you were building in your basement?

Credit me with more taste than to build something that looks like this.............

The stylist was British, I'll give you all that.

cawimmer430

Ok. So it might not be British after all even though the designer was British.

Some kind of Bertone concept car styled by a non-Italian?

I don't understand what that collection of words means..........

Keep going with the Jaguar thought, Herr Wimmer.

Jaguar is relevant, but not the answer. Daimler does not advance you any further.

Correct.

The Jaguar XJ-based Rapport Forte.

If you want the story behind the Rapport Forte, it is well related here: http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/2011/09/25/rapport-forte/

I confess I was scouring the depths of ARonline.co.uk (a fantastic site for info on all manner of British cars, if anyone here hasn't looked at it before; their articles tend to be very good reads, if not a little too biased) for any info on this thing. Obviously I didn't find it before Kevin did.

What a ridiculous car. The coupe-cabriolet doesn't look too bad with the top stowed, in a cheesy '70s wedge kind of way. The one-off estate looks... I can't imagine why anyone thought that was a good idea.

Either way you've got to love the headlights. Certainly a unique solution to integrating them into a wedge front end.

That is crazy!!! Better not try and raise/lower the roof when underneath something. :mask:
