I'm sure there's already a thread like this, but why gravedig?

As of 6/17/2012, I have 13,835 miles on my car. Got 30.8 mpg on my last tank of gas.

Uhh... Accent has 33,XXX, and is getting 28 MPG in the city with the A/C blasting.
Harley has... 300-ish miles, MpG unknown, but suspexted to be around 40.

LR2 averages 21mpg regardless of AC or driving style. Occasionally it'll drop to 20 or rise to 22 or 23.

As of my last fill-up on the 8th I have 23,753 km on the car. Lifetime average fuel economy is 9.13 L/100km, or 25.2 mpUSg, with the city/highway split about 2/3 city, 1/3 highway. The winter average dips down to over 10 L/100 km. The best tank I've ever had was shortly after I bought the car and was on a drive in the mountains, where I got 7 L/100 km (33.5 mpUSg). The worst I've ever had is 11.9 L/100 km (19.8 mpUSg); it was the dead of winter and all city driving with lots of heavy traffic.

Rich

Mustang averages about 18-19.

Miata is getting about >99.9 mpg right now as it sits on a boat.  Usually it gets about 26-28.

Just drove to Colorado today. Pushed over 177k on the way, got 25mpg on the first tank and 23 on the second.

GoCougs

21.5-22 mpg in mixed driving in the G. Have yet to take a long freeway trip (rated 25 mpg highway).

Vinsanity

LOL. I'm getting 18 mpg on a good day. To be fair, I probably have the worst daily commute for fuel economy; I get on the freeway for 3 miles, and then get off the 2nd exit onto a 60 mph surface street with stoplights for another 2 miles. At least I'm not using any gas for the remaining 40 miles of my commute.

TBR

I was getting 18-19mpg at school. Not really bumper to bumper or even that many lights, my commute was just so short the engine didn't really get warmed up until I was already on campus.

Saturn:
23-24 mpg suburban
28-29 highway

El Camino:
10 mpg suburban
no idea about highway

GoCougs

With 3,850 lbs, 328 hp, and AWD I can't complain with that mpg. That actually doesn't include any freeway driving either, and I'm definitely not babying it.

Around 25 mpg on my daily commute (three miles of city driving), 40 mpg on the highway. 87k miles.

I have 148,000 miles on the Focus. I drive it as hard as I can. I got 24 on the last tank because it was all city driving. I normally get 27-29 mpg mixed.

29 mpg highway 944, dunno city. 110 kmiles.

About 3 mpg no matter what Explorer.

Alright, 15/17 Explorer. 143 kmiles.

Anything under 20 is just awful. I can't deal with it. I work too hard for my money.

Rupert

Yes, I agree. The engine in the Exploder is such a fucking piece of shit. Too little power, not enough economy, sounds like ass... All it's got is decent durability and marginally OK torque.

I want to put a 4.2L Chevy in there.

Or even better, a 4-cyl diesel.

That's pretty damn good.  With summer coming in, I'm down to about 25-26mpg per tank and I just crossed 80,000 miles a few days ago.  So I'm at around 80,200 and change.

mine does 46 MPG (UK) which is about 38 US MPG, from a 50-50 mix of urban and motorway driving.  It will do 53 MPG (44 US MPG) on the motorway/long journeys

Best I've seen is 42MPG on the freeway. I get a solid 30 in thr city.

cawimmer430

I'm averaging about 7.2 L / 100 km (32.7 mpg) in my mixed driving (city, Autobahn, country roads). Not bad but not great either. But I'm also using the A/C so that affects the fuel consumption.

I used this site to calculate L/100 km into accurate mpg: http://calculator-converter.com/l_100km_mpg_convert_mpg_to_l_per_100_km.php

Average on the Kawi is about 30 MPG (all city, often 2 up). Best tank so far was about 42 MPG, when me and wifey rode down to the Jersey Shore + back. If it was just me on the highway I bet 50 MPG would be within reach. When we leave I would def like to get a little 250 to run around on.

TSX gets 26. It got 33 on a Canadian road trip. 550mi range FTW.

Just under 41k miles in the miata.

Usually I sit around 25-26 mpg.  Since the move though, I do a whole lot less sitting in traffic trying to get on the high way.  I've been around 28-30 mpg now (25 miles each way, usually 60 mph with traffic, 80-90 mph without).

EDIT:  Hopefully I'll be around 32 mpg when I get the BRZ. Seems possible.  More low end torque, taller gearing, direct injection, and a better drag coefficient should help.  Having to break the engine in too will force me to keep the revs down for awhile also.

I get abysmal mileage. I'm sure part of it is my short commute (engine never really warms up) plus a lot of my driving is in traffic, and I drive aggressively when not in traffic.

C6 has ~38,500 miles on the odo, and only gets ~10-12mpg in town but can go 25+ on the highway.

4runner odo is in the low 20Ks (prob 21-22k), iirc it gets around 14-16 in town and 16-18 on the highway.

I don't really care about gas mileage cause I only drive about 10k miles/yr between both cars.

JGC just got 26mpg on the way to the beach... That gives it a range of over 600 miles

23mpg in the subie- cruise at 50mph for about half the 12mile commute helps some.

AND it's still not running right, goes into the shop in a couple weeks.

Generally, I almost never shift over 3K in daily driving.
