The fact remains the G's primary selling point is price. Nothing wrong with that, just not the stuff of world domination.
Drive by wire = steerable by Skynet once it goes sentient = world domination.

It's more fun than the 3 series too.

I think you're the only one who's ever said that.

I've driven:
Multiple 350Zs, coupe and convertible, with multiple engines
A G35 coupe
A 370Z coupe
A bucktooth Maxima

History says that since none of those were fun, the G37 isn't going to be fun either.

Doesn't count really; it can't be anything else. Desmodromic is only of note if it is an alternative (i.e., desmo valves vs. spring valves).

Can't be anything else?  They could have easily done something even closer mechanically to Valvetronic, or Toyota's Valvematic.  On neither of those are the valve rocker linkages affixed to and actuated in both directions by the camshaft (i.e. they rely on the valve springs to push them back into position).

I like fun, and the G37 is more fun than the 3 seires.

The BMW has become so refined it's just not as fun anymore.

Sorry, calling VVEL "desmodromic" or "quasi desmodromic" or w/e, is useless.

It sounds correct to me. It's positive actuated in both directions.

Actually, not really - for reason(s) I can exactly recall there are pretty much no more Jews in Germany, working at BMW or otherwise.

Nah bro, there are apparently still over 100,000.

In the greater pantheon of motive enthusiasm "desmodromic" is used to describe valve actuation. No one uses it to describe other parts of valve train (or other mechanical systems) save for the (somewhat incorrect) Wiki article for VVEL used by MX783.

LOL (and not in a funny way) - 100,000 out of 81MM (= 0.12%) is worse than I would have guessed...

Yeah, terrible.

Still enough to carry out the conspiracy, though.

335i sedan is 178.2" so at 3591 lbs = 20.2 lb/in.
G37 sedan is 187.9" so at 3628 lbs = 19.3 lb/in.

Thus, the 335i is denser by 4.4% (= heavier).

'Cougs finally did it and proved that a car that weighs more is actually lighter.  :rastaman:
