I wish Nissan and Toyota would step up and put BMW back in it's place.
The premier purveyor of the sport sedan?

Char

Stop trying to make Japanese luxury cars German. Simpler styling, better quality and reliable vehicles, and I also look forward to better powertrains than what is currently offered.

... Nissan needs to use these shocks on the GT-R.  It would be like the Incredible Hulk wielding Thor's hammer.... unstoppable.

LOL at the assertion that any NA motor would be more complex than any turbo motor.  The BMW V8 is simple enough that almost anyone can work on it with common household tools, such as a hammer, nails, WD-40, and a butter knife.  Would you try to service a turbo engine with a butter knife?  No.  Not even a cheese knife.

For real though, not many people have enough money to buy this AND another car. These 4ers will be used as daily drivers, not weekend sports cars. This thing isn't a Lotus, it's a sports coupe that will be used by all kinds of people, from commuters who rack up tons of miles to people just driving around town running errands. It's a sporty, but general use, vehicle. You need cupholders in your daily driver, which is exactly how probably 95% of buyers will use these things.
For real. I thought that was the point of BMW M cars. Cars you can take to the tack and then drive home in them in comfort. I'd be pissed if it didn't have a cup holder in it. Not that I ever let anyone bring a drink into one of my cars in the first place.

Whenever I tell people they can't have anything but water in my car, they look at me like I have two heads. Glad I'm not alone.

I'd rock the shit out of that interior.  Probably.  Maybe.  Most likely.

Cookie Monster

The only thing I don't like about the interior is the swoopy line between the center ac vents and the right vent. It looks out of place.

Otherwise, I love the interior and the car in general.

The giantism baseball style stitching is a bit much.  Wouldn't be too comfortable to sit on either.

But once they tone it down for production, I think it'll look really good.  It's already pretty similar to the current 3-series sedan, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used that for most models.  Maybe a leather wrapped instrument panel for the M3 variant.

Did they really do that for the first gen TT?  I don't remember that at all...

Pretty extreme for something that went to production.

I like baseball glove leather.  And the stitching.  It's nice.

Me too. Different yet classy looking.

Klackamas

Don't like. Hope they give the option of conventional seats.

Plus, airing brown leather as you demo car is pretty risky also.

I love that type of wood trim. Second only to Audi's layered oak trim.

Colin

Remember, we still have not seen the production car........... what we have to date is a concept version and lots of speculation.
