Not sure why you're caught up on the size; it's just a 3-series coupe with a new name.

SVT666

Size is fine.  IS-F mini vents and the front and rear fascias are fucking awful.  The interior is sweet though.

2o6

I think it sucks that this will likely be more expensive than the old 3-series coupe.

Raza

What is going on with those exhausts?

I think the E90 coupe looks a lot better.

Are those cupholders ahead of the shifter?  I can't wait to punch my drink on every 2-3 shift.  Oh well, at least it has a stick and a real handbrake.

You will never buy one, so don't worry about it.

Harsh but true. Not even cause Raza cant afford one, but cause this is def not his style.

And the size isn't good. This would be an awesome 6 series (obv with the bigger motors). I am hoping the 1er will be nice

There was a possibility that I'd buy one.  Not anymore.  Not with those cupholders!

(But yeah, I think I'd rather have an E90, which I might buy in the next few years.)

But yeah, with a sports car, I don't see myself in a four seat coupe unless it's a GTO.

I don't love the looks, but I imagine the actual 4 will be toned down a bit (this is the concept). It definitely grabs me more than the 6-series, which strikes me as pretty MB CL-like, which I do not like.

The lineup reshuffling keeps interesting at least, but yes it will definitely carry a higher premium to the 3er sedan than the E90 coupe and its previous iterations.

I read that the A5 sunroof doesn't open (just goes up), that's not a trait of all the comparable coupes right? That's a major flaw to me.

Tone down the rear exhaust area from this concept and I think this looks pretty good

It's a 3 series coupe.  It's much smaller than the 6 series.  The size is fine.

If I had a sports car, I would have a 4 door sport sedan as the other car.

Considering I personally find the latter to be one of the ugliest cars on the road, DO NOT WANT.

B-pillar?  That's a pretty typical coupe look.  The C-pillars are'nt close enough.  The Hofmeister Kink on the Honda is huge and exaggerated, and on the BMW it's tastefully done.  The problem with this BMW are the fascias and that mini IS-F vent.

MX793

Shape is good, but the front and rear lower fascia are a bit over-wrought (and Kia-ish).

I would think the production model will be toned down in that department.

cawimmer430

This look pretty nice. I'll have to go to BMW Welt in a few days to check it out.

Ah, the advantages of living in BMW territory.  :praise:

Lol the nostrils are killing me. Ferraris, Bugattis, F1 cars make do with smaller snouts. And they really do scream Kia

F1 cars are open wheel, they don't need to duct air to their brakes.  I'd wager the front openings on a 360M, F430, and Veyron are just as large, if not larger.  They just aren't as pronounced.

Bumpers are terrible and visually it looks massive. I want real world pictures.

Also, cupholders in the front of the shifter is better than behind the shifter.

I disagree.  My Jetta and Passat had cupholders behind the shifter and they were amazing.

For accessibility it's better behind, but for shifting action, they are better in front.

I guess if they're level, then yeah, in front would be better.  But in the Passat and Jetta, they were lower than the bottom of the shifter, which meant nothing ever got in the way.  Although, I don't know if you can do that in a rear drive car.

Yeah, I can see that being better than the BMW's front cupholders, but mine are like this:

It's level with the shifter which means you'll just be elbowing your drinks when you shift, or you have to angle your arm in an awkward manner to shift.
