Anyone here use Fuelly?

I just joined, it's a nifty way to see fuel economy and compare yours to another user with the same car.

It's a worldwide site, so our European, Mexican and Canadian users can find makes and models exclusive to their market as well.

Cool, I'm going to start using this to get depressed about how much I spend on gas.

I would totally use this if there was a mobile app...otherwise I'll either forget to do it when I get back to my computer, methinks.  Usually putting gas in the car is the first thing I do in the day, so by the end of the day, I'm not sure I'll remember to go to fuelly.com to log my miles... :(

Hmm, that's pretty cool.  Looks like I'm right on track with I6 (L6?) 2006 Z4s, getting around 24 per tank.

I joined.  You can track by text message, and I've got unlimited texts, so why not?

Kevin, I added you as a friend.  DiscoSpider.

I used to track my Jetta's fuel mileage by spreadsheet off of photos I took with my phone at fill ups.  This will be much easier.

The RX-8 results should be interesting.

Not the same thing but I looked at this today. http://tankonempty.com/
Always wanted to know how long I had when the orange light came up in the 8.

Raza

I haven't been able to find how to friend more people.  But if any SPINners are using it, we should friend up and see who can get the worst gas mileage.  Or best, or whatever.

That site says average of 42 miles when my light comes on.  I've always figured 40miles was the limit.

I'll join when I get home. And when I get new tires I'll go up to the mountains and try to top the worst record.

My fuel consumption is slightly above what the average for my cars is on the site. It is to be expected at 2,400 meters above sea level.

What's the point? Car needs gas to get me where I need to go. This app changes nothing.

I have had a Fuelly account for about 18 months. I keep logs of my fuel expenses on Fuelly, in a spreadsheet on my Google Drive, and in a logbook in my car.

My username over at Fuelly is my real name, so... :/   I'm not sure how I feel about sharing it.

Speed_Racer

I use the FuelLog app on my phone to track my fuel economy/costs. I find it more useful than Fuelly, of which I'm not a member.

The spin is like 5 guys posting and ranked a on the bazillionth page in Google. It would be like sharing your name at your average wedding table where you are seated with who knows who.

You'd be surprised! Someone on another forum I used to frequent did a cursory Google search and found a lot more stuff than I had hoped he would...

I'd rather not think too much about that. I share lifestyle things here that I don't share in any other Internet board. I trust the educational level of our local criminals.

Cool site. I'm slightly above average on all three of my vehicles. I've kept logs for my daily drivers since I got them, the van the wife never wants to write it down but I know she gets about 18mpg, I get 19mpg city then 25+ on highway.

Apparently, I need to step my game up. There are other sedan guys hitting 50MPG on the freeway in their cars.

TurboDan

Just signed up. This could be cool:

http://www.fuelly.com/driver/turbodan/lr2

I actually have the best fuel economy of the LR2s represented so far!

sportyaccordy

Great great site. Lot of eye openers for bike choices. 250s get MPGs in the 60-70s

Trying to sign up but no confirmation email yet.
