Umm, yeah, current trucks look nicer.

MrH

The GMC version looks good to me

Not a big fan of the headlights on the Chevy one.

Rims = round
Tires = round
Wheel arches = square?

The current trucks look old and cheap. They had to do something.

Ok, yeah, that's always looked stupid.  I've just come to accept it.  The GMC Terrain is the worst.

LOL, I like this post.

TurboDan

The GMC version doesn't look too bad, inside or out. The Chevy version looks like it's pandering to stereotypical men who want to look like tough guys, which I absolutely hate. Way too much black plastic on the grille of the Chevy, too.

CJ

Still uses the same shifter.  The same cheap and nasty shifter.

Square wheel arches (rectangles?) notwithstanding, I don't think they look cheap at all.

I do.

The GMC looks good.  The Chevy looks like it's trying to do the Retro thing up front (circa 80s headlight and grill), which looks like ass.

Looks like they know their market then.

It's just an ugly car all around.

As for the new trucks, I rather like them quite a bit.

Think of it this way, guys.  When Seinfeld was still on the air, the market had to contend with this:

Squar-er...everything looks square now except the rims and tires...especially the fender flares.  Not a pleasant picture.

That looks bad ass! The square wheel wells suck but I'd take this over any full sizer on the market.

I don't know, man. If I'm buying a pickup, I want something that'll handle abuse very well, is rugged, and very durable. I don't give a fuck if it isn't pretty, if the thing can hold up, I'm cool with it. That interior doesn't even look that bad.

Then again, what do I know- I'm not in the market for a pickup, and probably never will be. If I were, I'd probably buy a used, sparsely equipped one.

Yeah, but I think the market place is demanding nicer interiors.  I'm sure you can still get stripped out innards on base models and work trucks, but as with most cars in general, manufacturers are paying a lot more attention to what's going on inside.

Yeah, but a lot of people buy pickups to just drive around in and take their kids to school and pick up a potted plant from Home Depot once a year.  If it's not commercially owned, most pickups are bought on "what if I...?" principles or tough guy persona.  But, I bet the people who do use the product as intended like it being a decent place to sit in.

Secret Chimp

I missed this until now. The GMC looks like an OK design that got ruined by robo-bling headlights, but the Chevrolet design looks like someone literally copy and pasted half an idea for a grille to make a whole one. That's the case for the old truck too, but the projectors and chrome really aren't helping the new one.

And someone needs to tell GM's stylists that this squared fender opening thing doesn't look good.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Lebowski

I don't think they look too bad. GMC looks a lot like a ford super duty.

I am surprised that more hasn't surfaced about the SUV's that each will spawn shortly. The only glimpse I have seem, I posted under the luxury section in regards to the 2014-MY Cadillac Escalade coupled with the all new MY14 CTS. I must admit, I am excited to see what Caddy comes up with after taking a close look at both "all new" '14 pickups.

The partial view of the face of the next Escalade (once expected at NAIAS 2013, NY) was provided by Cadillac and Carscoop took the rendering from there. It wasn't too hard to do post debut of GM's 2014 pickup trucks, above and lots of leaks of a leaks from with General Motors. Gee, there have been many more leaks within the auto industry recently. Stay tuned, eh?

If you didn't see the new face of Caddy's rap star, take a look under the Luxury Section at Carspin. Soon, everyone from the Kardashian's and Jenner's to the NBA, NFL and world of hip-hop will be trouncing around in the next Escalade. I am psyched but what a disaster if they look as "un-exciting" as the '14 Silverado and Sierra. Then of course, there will likely be the lesser: Suburban duo, Tahoe's and probable a Denali version of each GMC for 2014. If not already a variant of GMC's Suburban's, I bet a Denali edition will emerge.

^ Looks very "Ford" in photo above but there's not mistaken GM's GMC lettering on the flip side: Its facial

280Z Turbo

It needs a bigger grille. It needs to look like a semi truck.

The new 4.3L makes more power than the turbocharged 4.3L in the Syclone/Typhoon of yore. Wonder if they'll stick it in the new Colorado (or whatever is replacing it)

Wow, that 4.3 is healthy...
