That's because they made it especially for the North American market, and they sell it in Korea and Middle East as well The car sucks big time. I feel pity for the (US made) B7 Passat when I drive past them in my vastly superior, in every possible way, B6 model  :tounge:

All joking aside, I'm not sure why people automatically assume no other auto brands would sell here. Nobody outside of online car forums knew what a Fiat was a few years ago either, and they're flying out of the dealerships... err... studios.

Oh, plenty of people remembered Fiats.  If anything, Fiat had a bad reputation and still managed to come back with only one model and a slick ad campaign.

Fiat is doing terrible though. They're way under their predictions. People got fired for how poorly it's done. Not sure why you think they've been a booming success.

They started out slowly at first but sales are now approaching MINI's volume.  Not bad for what is essentially a one-model brand.

I had no idea.  Anecdotally, I see them all over the place.  But then again, I do live in a city.

I hadn't opened this thread until now because I didn't know WTF a Skoda was, but this thing looks great. Off looks alone, this would be one of my favorite cars if sold here. Reminds me of a more aggressive take on the Audi styling of 10 years ago and I really like it.
