I know! It's like FATE!!! It's like the automotive god's way of saying, "Christian, you and the '74 Monaco were meant to be!"

I wonder if he'll trade in the Monaco for a lowly 118i...

You know me! I'm an automotive connoisseur! To me the '74 Monaco is like a fine French wine in terms of design.

I'm still hoping this is one of the poorest, least funny and longest running jokes on carspin.

If not, well then I think we've lost him boys.

I'm actually pretty happy for Wimmer in this case.  He finally gets to see up close how shitty those cars were.  Maybe he will sell it to you Christian.

I find it all humorous considering Germany has built some of the best cars of all time.

It's not a joke. I'm just a guy who appreciates great car design, like the '74 Monaco.   :ohyeah:

I love the design of this car. I know it's not a high quality car, but the design is stunning IMO.

You should just buy one of these barges one day - I'm not sure about Germany's rules for importing North American cars, but you could pick one up reasonably cheap here.

I'd love to have one. The only problem is my parking space is to small for it and this thing consumes like 20+ L / 100 km. My car has a 50 liter fuel tank which lasts me on average a month!!!

Yep. One fill-up lasts on average for an entire month. I drive about 700 km per month and the range of the 118i is about 650+ km.

If I had a ' 7 4   D o d g e   M o n a c o, I'd use 50 liters of precious gas for a miserable 200+ km!!!

If you want a crappy car from the 70s that gets good fuel economy you can always get a Pinto or Vega.  Hell the Maverick or Nova with the 6 cylinder probably doesn't do too bad on fuel economy.

Postal service. They still use essentially the same symbol today.

It has it's origin with the instrument that was used to herald the arrival of the postal service.

I prefer the Vega over the Pinto. Looks better. Never much liked the Pinto or Bobcat.

Plus the Vert-A-Pac was a pretty neat idea!
