Maybe they're just jealous because Nissans suck.

The trash talking doesn't even make sense. If they called it underpowered or cheap that would make more sense.

A C7, 911 or perhaps Cayman S is a midlife crisis car. I don't know how many 40-50 year old men that would go out and buy these two cars.

They're just pissy because they said that they were going to come out with a rival based off the Sentra/Juke/FWD Nissan B-platform, and everyone in existence said that was a stupid idea.

Being a fat, middle aged man, is this his indirect way of admitting his love for the BRZ?

They might as well say the BRZ is a class C motorhome.

Does anyone buy the Z anymore?  I saw one today and that was the first one in a while.

I'd argue a 370Z is a midlife crisis car.
Yeah, when I saw this title I thought "well then what the hell do they think the Z is?".

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

So this one is just....  weird

Really weird. The day my wife makes a drama like that about me getting a car is the day it ends. She knows about this going in.

Its almost never a good idea to spend more time talking about the other guy's product than your own if you want to sell something.

I'm going through this with Benetteau sailboats right now, though I'm the one saying WTF NO in this case.

How about neither?

Boats are cool though, and you live in a great area for them.

Still, the best plan is to find somebody who already owns one and then go out on his.

That's what I'm saying.

That, and rent boats in far off lands like Greece or the Caribbean.

Anyways, as far as midlife crises go, the BRZ is pretty economical.

Or smashes the windshield of my car. She would find her dogs dead and stuck up on poles in front of the house.

It's kind of a dick move to make a $30K purchase w/o telling your partner though. I guess it depends on the situation.

It would be a dick move to buy any car without telling the wife unless you have so much money that buying a car is just like you and me buying ice cream.

Nothing says 50, successful, and ready to party like a $25,000 Scion.  Oh wait, there's the 911.  Or the Corvette.  Or a Boxster.  Or a Z4.  I mean, if you want to attract 16 year old boys, the Scion is sure to get you a lot of tail.  Yo dude, sweet ride.  Yeah baby, it's a Scion...I'll make you wear that hat sideways, but it's a good thing your pants are already halfway down.

Also, who do they think the market for the 370Z is?

Uh, is that supposed to be a commercial for the car?  "Your wife will hate it, but this half naked dude will love it".

It's definitely not what I'd consider a midlife crisis car.

When my midlife crisis hits I'd better have a 911 turbo or better.

Most people don't. You'll have a Nissan 430 Z car or something.

No way, I wouldn't drive a Z-car if I was 25 let alone 45.

That was a really bad commercial. I didn't know if they were actually trying to sell the car or mock it's consumer base.

MrH

Pretty sure that wasn't actually made by Toyota.
