Nissan Qashqai

Not sure what the point of this car is with the X-Trail/Rogue which is basically the same size.

Hell, even the interior is exactly the same.






Power comes from a new 1.2L Turbo (from Renault) making like ~120HP, and the 1.5L and 1.6L Diesels from the old car. Wouldn't be surprised if the 1.6DIG Turbo from the Juke finds its way in there.

I guess it comes down to the U.S. favoring a boxier design than other markets? Considering how high the volumes are for these cars, it would be crazy not to make relatively minor changes that would boost its appeal for different customer bases.

Qashqai is a C-segment vehicle, X-Trail is a D-segment. Prices will reflect that.

They do both look rather similar........... the Qashqai has been made to look more SUV-y and the X-Trail has been made to looks a little less so.

I wouldn't be surprised if the +2 model gets dropped, since the XTrail/Rogue now seats 7.

It has been...... this was widely reported to be Nissan's plan a while back.
