The bumper makes it look like a sleepy fish just finishing eating a giant sandwich patty.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Rupert

Oh, uh, huh, it kind of does.

I've been meaning to push that bumper in; maybe that's the motivation to do it.

Yeah, let's fuck up the wheel rate of the freshly indexed rear end while putting undue stress on every piece of the rear suspension, from the bushing all the way through to the wheel studs. It is just amazing the a self-proclaimed suspension guru, who also claims to also be a suspension engineer, can recommend such a useless amd solely detrimental modification. You also don't have a fucking clue about how perfect the classic aesthetics are of a properly restored stock 944.

Looks great, Rupert.

Yeah, I need to contemplate the looks of the car sometime when it's parked in the open. IMO, bigger, offsetter wheels would probably do a lot, though. I think the back might be a little bit higher than the front, which is how it's supposed to be, but I might want to be level for looks. It would be a half inch at the most, and I could use the adjuster bolt things to do that. First thing, though, is get the alignment done and drive it for a while.

Hmm, alignment kind of meh. They keep having a hard time with it. It pulls just a little to the right, I think, and the steering wheel is a little off-center, and the numbers aren't all that great left-to-right. To some degree, I guess that's expected, as it's an old car with non-adjustable caster, but  .

I'm not putting new springs on it (which is how I would have to drop the front). There aren't lowering springs that preserve the same spring rate.

I'm mostly concerned that the numbers aren't matching as well as it seems like they should, and I think the toe difference is causing a slight pull to the right, but it's hard to test, as that's the direction the crown of the road pushes the car. :P

So drive in the middle of the road for a second when it's dead clear both ways. Or do 40 in a parking lot in the middle of the night :P

Well, yeah. If you lowered it without increasing your spring rate, you'd bottom out constantly.

Almost everything about those numbers will lead to pulling right, and that is even before road crown is considered.

Your caster is biased to pull right. Caster may not be "adjustable", but you can change it.

Your front toe is biased to pull right.

Your front and rear camber are biased to turn right.

Find an alignment shop that knows what it's doing.

How can you change caster without it being adjustable? o_0

This is about the only game in town for good alignments, as far as I can tell. The Porsche club goes there (so says the Porsche club). I might have to look harder, though; they haven't really gotten it right on this car, yet.

Most alignments shops will set things to pull right slightly.  They don't want to risk your car pulling towards oncoming traffic.

My BRZ is setup just about dead straight.  Slightly difference in camber in the rear due to the subframe being offset a little.

You need to get something like these:

Suspension "engineer" fail.

Alignments are set straight, except caster, which is often factory set to compensate for road crown.
