Battery charger/maintainer...

I've avoided driving the RSX after they've salted the roads since I bought it.

This means that it has sat for up to 3 months over the winter. This year was the first that the battery was too dead to start it as spring approached. It is the original battery so I guess that's not too surprising.

Last night I picked up a couple CTEK battery chargers/maintainers, one as a christmas gift for my dad, the other for myself.

Now to see how many more years I can get out of the battery in the RSX.

I have a bunch of them that I got off amazon. I initially used them just over the winter but have since started to use them on a couple cars with weaker batteries/higher electrical drains when they sit for 2-3 weeks.

I got one for the Harley. $20,Black&Decker 2amps. Cheap junk. Comes with a connector to wire to the battery so I don't have to take the crappy Harley cover off.

Now if you could just find a way to keep all the oil from leaking out.

It doesn't leak a drop, but it burns some.

That would be antifreeze. I can't even find where to fill it, so I put it in the gas tank.

The RSX has already been sitting for a month and a half and the battery couldn't have been that bad. Little 4.3a charger showed good to go within 3-4hrs.

Supposedly switches to pulse charge after 10 days... We'll see.

Side note, one advantage of the high steering link strut meant that it was really easy to feed an extension cord into the engine bay through the wheel well.
