I was waiting for someone to say this. Out, heathen

Heathen?  Me?  You are the one advocating this sacrilege!

Little Caesars, because a $5 pizza feeds me for 2-3 meals. And I'm not raking in the dough (pun intended!) so that's a good deal haha

And I have low standards

Do Papa Murphy's if you're cost conscious.

Of all the Major chains I like Marcos the best! Jets is second but I'm not sure if they're as wide spread as the rest of the chains listed.

I think they have Jets in Memphis.

Living in Chicago, the only pizza chains worth talking about are Lou's, Gino's, and Giordano's and honestly, their thin crust pizza isn't outstanding.  Otherwise its mom and pops all day; every neighborhood has a few standouts.

Of the choices, I'm going with Pizza Hut.

Half of the "chains" you guys are naming we don't have around here (and many I've never even heard of).

Locally, there are a lot of people from Italian families.  Lots of good local pizza places as a result.  Last time I ate pizza from a major chain was Pizza Hut when visiting family in Florida.

Jets is so good. That's our go to pizza place when up in Detroit for work. So many flavored crusts.

I voted Papa John's, but Dominos is a very close second. PJ's locations are way on the other side of town, and Dominos has improved immensely over the years, and the prices are often ridiculously low ( there's always some crazy deal? ) that we order from them most often when it comes to chain pizza. We mostly buy pizza from a couple of local restaurants, but Dominos lately is our go to for chain pizza.

Yeah.

Huh, that's kind of surprising. They're everywhere in Binghamton, and when I was in Syracuse pretty recently, I know I saw a Papa John's and a Domino's. Whereabouts are you, if you don't mind me asking

The chains in the poll we have.  I'm talking about the other places people are bringing up like Marco's, Gino's, Jets, California Pizza Kitchen....

I vote that the pizzas from Pizza Hut/KFC/Taco Bells are better than pizzas from Jets, Marcos, Papa Johns, Dominos, and maybe even regular Pizza Huts. Hungry Howie has some good stuff.

California Pizza Kitchen is probably the "best" of the US chains I've sampled.

Pizza Express is the one to go for in the UK.

That's more of a proper restaurant than a pizza place though.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Yeah, I've never heard of Marcos or jets. California pizza kitchen is a sit down restaurant, not really comparable to the chains discussed in the thread which are basically in the realm of fast food.

I'm surprised at the love Pizza Hut and the new dominos are getting. I haven't had either (or papa johns for that matter) in years, maybe I should give a shot sometime.  The thing is, I rarely crave shitty delivery pizza.

Jet's is pretty big in the Midwest, and it's better than most of the national chains. Not quite "real" pizza grade, but still good.

Where I go to school, most of the local pizzerias suck so hard that these delivery places are actually a step up. There are two good ones I can think of, though.

Dominoes is good in a pinch. But places like it and Pizza Hut still aren't comparable to local joints that give a shit about their ingredients. I only go to Dominoes when the kids have friends over and I want something relatively inexpensive for them.

I actually like chain pizza; sometimes more than highly rated local joints.  I like both but chain pizza is such comfort food for me.  Since I'm a vegetarian, topping quality is pretty much the same everywhere in the chains because a canned black olive tastes like a canned black olive.  I like Dominoes and Papa Johns.  Pizza Hut leaves me feeling bloated (especially the Pan variety).  Unfortunately none of the chains deliver  to where I live and so I end up paying twice as much for more local joints.

MrH

I usually go with local places.  $18 for a large BBQ chicken pizza from my favorite place (and a large isn't all that large), but it's worth it.  You can get a large at dominoes for $5 on some nights, but it's garbage.

I'm with you on the comfort food aspect.  Pizza Hut will take me back to my childhood, when Pizza Hut sponsored a reading program...read a certain number of books and you got a free personal pan pizza.  You'd read you book, the teacher would give you a star that would go on a pin.  When the pin filled up with stars, you would go to Pizza Hut, trade in your pin and get a new empty pin and a free personal pan pizza.

What do you guys think of Sbarro?  At the mall here if you can get some pizza that's fresh it isn't too bad.  I saw an ad on tv where Pizza Hut had a new hand tossed pizza that might be worth trying.
